Frame of the Day -- 21st January 2011/22nd January 2011

Due to the lateness of the hour, yesterday's frame gets uploaded today!  There were quite a number of interesting conversations, albeit heavy at times, but nevertheless, one definitely has to appreciate fantastic company with friends. Not forgetting the 'rare' food as well!

Halved -- About half the Peking duck for about half the table? =)

People skills are probably one of the most sought after qualities in any relational-based job. Surely, high EQ is something that will stand the individual who possesses it in good stead. However, what I feel is perhaps more challenging is the qualities of long-suffering and patience -- the ability to both 'suffer' through difficult interactions, and yet be patient enough to persist through its necessity. Surely, that is a more laudable quality no?

Abstract -- Probably half an Olympic logo, but I ... << MORE >>

Frame of the Day -- 19th January 2011

Twas a really pleasant evening =) While I would like to write more (juicy? =p) details lest I forget, some things should really remain privately confidential. Kind of along the lines of 天知地知知我知, rather than << MORE >>

Frame of the Day -- 18th January 2011

I guess different people have different experiences, but I personally don't remember my dreams much, though I've heard that we dream every night!  Nevertheless, last night's is still memorable for one reason in particular =)  I shall not divulge the details suffice to say that perhaps, I have watched one too many spy thriller movies!

Esoteric
-- In my field, sometimes the nomenclature can get a bit too technically specific. Do you know the meaning of 'Nonpyrogenic' without referring to some dictionary? =P  ... << MORE >>

Responsibilities are something that should be part and parcel of daily life. Everyone is given a measure of duties, be it for something simple like say, sweeping the floor or cooking a meal, to a more complex one like being the CEO of an MNC. It definitely requires us to exercise our own personal pride and of course actually be responsible for whatever we are supposed to do. How can we expect to get team results if not everyone is playing their roles?

Frame of the Day -- 16th January 2011

Today's frame looks very much like possibly a living area one would potentially like to have. Indeed, it's definitely really nice to be able to afford elegant decor for that highly sought-after house in these times, perhaps even more so when the property market (here) is on an upwards trend. However, what is in my opinion a lot more important is actually whether one can call the house home. More important than finding the perfect apartment location, or the auspicious number; more important than the final touches to the perfect interior design, ... << MORE >>

Frame of the Day -- 15th January 2011

It's getting late and my eyes are beginning to droop, so perhaps this entry may not be as coherent as I would like.  Do pardon me if so!

Like I've probably mentioned before, this isn't a food blog (per se? =p) but I believe it's probably due to the very built-up nature (read: laziness and lack of creativity =P) here, that it's sometimes simply easier to frame what I will have 3 times a day before me.  Perhaps that's one reason why there's a whole deluge of food bloggers in societies like this.  Though it's probably more due to us having fantastic food here =)

Scrumptious
-- Thank you for letting me behind the wheel, and I certainly hope the drive was safely comfortable!

Frame of the Day -- 13th January 2011

Work indeed takes up most of our waking hours at least in terms of time spent. However, what is probably important is how these hours are spent. Certainly, different people (and jobs) do have varied expectations and requirements in terms of time spent, but there must still be some form of balance lest burnout sets in. The value of hindsight is that it allows one to realise supervisors will practically always have (impossibly) stringent time frames or expectations, yet, in essence, there is also never really an end to the work that ... << MORE >>

Frame of the Day -- 12th January 2011

It's really great to be in comfortable company! =)  Indeed, perhaps one of the more memorable snippets of conversation went something along these lines:

D: There's quite a unique taste to this one. Let me try it a bit more. *tastes a bit more* I'm sure I've had it somewhere before.

Me: *tastes a bit* Yeah, you're right, I think it's *tastes a bit more myself* durian probably.

D: Hmm, maybe, maybe. Let's ask 'Excuse me ah, what flavour ... << MORE >>

Frame of the Day -- 11th January 2011

It's actually quite a nice date today =) I would have written it as 11/1/11. Besides, wouldn't it be amazing if, say hypothetically speaking, it's the 1st or the 11th (or some permutation of that number) time you were with the date? =)  Or perhaps it may be worst if you can't remember the number, or .... just walked into that self-laid trap.

Framed -- not really, traps can be unwittingly walked into *oops!*
