Amsterdam

A really long hiatus due to the busyness of ... stuff =P  And also hence a really concise entry this time =).  This definitely wasn't the next city on the Swiss-land trip, but it's well, my shortest currently reviewed city 'folder'.  The weather was gloomy and it was a public holiday hence the rather boring set here (I tried, but I'm not the most proficient photog around yes? =P).  So without further ado, here's my gloomy =I Amsterdam,  Netherlands set.

1) So this grey, altogether uninteresting sight greeted us when we first got out of the Amsterdam railway station.  Misty and gloomy start to 2009.

2) The new year party's mess still hadn't been cleared up yet.  So there were bottles here, there and everywhere (and no, the song wasn't stuck in my head when I was there =p).  I'm quite sure this particular bottle wasn't because of some ship's maiden voyage =)

3) This is a public toilet.  For guys only erm ... like of course.  Certainly something that I have never seen in any other city before!

4) So due to the female rights movement (I think?), female toilets were installed as well.  Unfortunately, they turned out to be pretty unsafe and now they are used as advertising boards.

5) So when the weather doesn't look great, one has to think of other random shots to fill the memory card with =).  This isn't someone's shoes.  They are ..... edible ....... chocolates! =P

6) Last but not least, one must include the customary canal shot when in the Netherlands yes?  No blooming tulips or windmills at this time of the year, so .... kind of limited to this =P

Hope you enjoyed this short, practically monotoned (and not all are because of photoshop =p) set.  More to come soon! =)
